Janis Czurda won the award for the best student presentation at the
21st European Congress of Herpetology in Belgrade (September 5th-9th, 2022).
She received the award for her talk "Hybridization in crested newts (Triturus) at the outskirts of Vienna: limited introgression across a disrupted contact zone and sporadic introductions of non-native newts." presenting current results of her master's theses.
