Contribution of murine uterine aging to delayed parturition

About me
I am a biologist (BSc) currently working on my master's project under the mentorship of Prof. Mihaela Pavlicev in the field of reproductive aging, specifically aging of the uterus. The goal of our study is to investigate one of the most prevalent and clinically difficult conditions in mouse colonies - dystocia, which refers to delayed and difficult labor. Reproductive aging is one of the factors that may contribute to this pathological phenotype. Therefore, we will conduct an in-depth transcriptional and histological investigation of the mechanisms through which uterine and cervical changes in older mice contribute to the effects of aging on the timing of parturition.
